Flipkart -The Big Freedom Sale

Hello friends, finally Walmart-owned Indian e-commerce giant Flipkart has announced ‘The Big Freedom Sale’ to take on Amazon’s Freedom Sale. 

Flipkart "The Big Freedom Sale" will be from August 10 to August 12 and it calls it as “Celebrating 72nd Independence Day in 72 Hours" as the teaser shows.

Flipkart has not revealed its offers till now for it's  Freedom sale, but its web page teasers have confirmed that it will be holding blockbuster deals, price crash offers, rush hour deals, the freedom countdown and one deal every hour. 

Flipkart has revealed that it will offer 10 percent cashback on credit cards from Citibank during 72 hours of Freedom Sale.

The teaser page reveals following offers:

1.Blockbuster deals and price crash offers (will refresh every eight hours ) during the sale period. 

2.‘Rush hour’ sale with ‘revolutionary deals’ being held between 12AM and 2AM on August 10. 

3.Other than these deals, Flipkart will also have hourly deals that will be held during the entirety of the 72 hour period and will be similarly to Amazon’s lightning deals. The last major thing will be the Freedom Countdown where Flipkart will offer 31 minutes of price drop between 7:47PM and 8:18PM.

Along with this Flipkart has also announced its new loyalty program called Flipkart Plus. Flipkart Plus will officially launch on August 15.

Very first announcement of sale during Independence day week is from Amazon India.

Here it comes 'Amazon Freedom Sale' !!!

Amazon India on Friday announced the 'Amazon Freedom Sale' that will kick off on August 9. The sale will begin at 12am (midnight) on August 9 and run until 11:59pm on August 12. 

The Amazon Freedom Sale will feature over 20,000 deals on smartphones, major appliances, electronics  mainly brands such as OnePlus, Vivo, JBL, LG Philips and Casio. 

Additionally Amazon India has tied up with State Bank of India to offer customers an additional cashback of 10 percent when purchasing under the Amazon sale through SBI credit and debit cards. Similarly, there will be EMI options across products.

Amazon Prime Members can expect special deals and discounts during the sale.

As always, Amazon is also hosting a contest around the Freedom Sale, with products worth Rs 4 lakh up for grabs. Some of the prizes include a OnePlus 6, A JBL Pulse 3 Bluetooth speaker, iPhone X, MacBook Air, GoPro Hero 5, HTC Vive, Nikon D5300, and, HTC Vive. You can know more about the contest here.
